Noon UAE cashback calculation: 10%, 5% and CAR40 caps in AED — CAR40 conditional cashback

To illustrate the recorded CAR40 terms, calculate the smaller of 10% of an assumed eligible amount and AED 50 for a new customer, or 5% and AED 10 for an existing customer. These tables are examples, not a live calculator or actual orders. Noon’s checkout determines eligibility and the displayed benefit; no purchase or credited cashback was observed in our test.

Start with the eligible base, not an assumed saving

The percentage, cap and eligible calculation base answer different questions. A percentage tells you the rate in the recorded tier, while the cap limits the resulting benefit. The eligible base is the amount Noon actually uses for that calculation. We do not independently know the complete eligible base for each CAR40 basket, nor a full list of exclusions or a documented minimum order. A displayed cart total is therefore not automatically a proven calculation base.

The purpose of this article is to make the arithmetic transparent without claiming to recreate Noon’s eligibility system. For a theoretical fully eligible basket, multiply the amount by the recorded rate and apply the cap. For a real order, check the amount and conditions shown by Noon before payment. This page contains explanatory tables; it has no live input, no connection to your account and no ability to determine which items qualify.

Two formulas and two different ceilings

The new-customer illustration is min(eligible amount × 0.10, AED 50). The existing-customer illustration is min(eligible amount × 0.05, AED 10). “Min” simply means select the smaller number. If a hypothetical new-customer base is AED 300, the result is AED 30 because it is below AED 50. For the same assumed base in the existing tier, five per cent is AED 15, but the cap reduces the illustrative benefit to AED 10.

These are mutually separate tier examples. Do not add their percentages or caps, and do not take the higher result as a promise that your account can choose it. Noon’s definition of a new customer has not been independently documented to us. Being logged in, using the app or visiting from a new browser does not decide the tier. The checkout result for the actual account takes precedence over the hypothetical table.

Five AED scenarios, all explicitly theoretical

Every row below assumes its entire base is eligible. The AED 80 row produces AED 8 under the new tier and AED 4 under the existing tier. At AED 200 the existing tier reaches AED 10. At AED 500 the new tier reaches AED 50. An AED 900 base still gives at most AED 50 or AED 10 respectively. None of these rows is a photographed basket, completed order or actual credited balance.

Reaching a cap is not a spending goal or a verified minimum. If you only need AED 80 of items, buying more solely to raise a theoretical credit can make the purchase worse overall. The additional benefit is smaller than the extra spending and might not materialise under your account conditions. Compare what you pay today, whether you need the products and whether future time-limited credits would be useful, rather than optimising the headline percentage.

Observed checkout amounts are a different kind of evidence

On 18 October 2026, the owner’s UAE checkout test displayed AED 21.20 cashback on a cart showing AED 212, with CAR40 accepted before payment. The displayed figure happens to equal ten per cent of that full cart. That match is not a universal formula for every UAE basket, proof of a new-customer definition or evidence of money received. The test stopped before payment: no purchase was completed and no cashback credits were observed.

The same date’s Saudi observation showed SAR 20.70 cashback on a cart showing SAR 210.49. SAR 20.70 is not exactly ten per cent of the entire displayed cart, and we do not infer the eligible base from it. We also do not convert those Saudi amounts to AED or treat them as a UAE basket. The example demonstrates why a real displayed total and a hypothetical fully eligible base should not be silently treated as the same thing.

How to compare a real UAE basket with the table

First confirm that you are ordering from Noon UAE in AED with the intended delivery address, whether that is Dubai, Abu Dhabi or another emirate. Apply CAR40 and note the displayed benefit, the current payable total and any eligibility message. If the amount differs from the table, keep the real checkout figure in your comparison. We cannot establish whether the difference comes from particular items, account classification or another rule unless Noon supplies that explanation.

Do not reverse-engineer an exclusion list by assuming every difference has one cause. A basket change might alter more than one relevant value. If you remove a product to understand the display, recheck the payable total and the message as well as cashback. When uncertainty affects your decision, contact Noon before paying. Our original troubleshooting guide explains safe rechecks, but repeated entry cannot guarantee a different tier or a benefit for an ineligible basket.

Why a credit estimate is not a net-price calculator

If the example table gives AED 20 on an assumed AED 200 base, it does not tell you the current payment is AED 180. Coupon cashback is described by Noon’s official help as Noon Credits within a few days after delivery, subject to eligibility. It is not transferable to a bank and is intended for later Noon purchases. Every credit has an expiry date, so a potential balance has different practical value from an immediate price reduction.

For your own budget, keep the payable amount separate from any anticipated credit. Later, if Noon adds an available balance, use the actual account entry to plan a future purchase. A pending estimate can help you monitor an order but is not evidence of a final credit. We do not offer a payout forecast or promise that a cancelled, returned or adjusted order keeps the same benefit; ask Noon about the current rules for your specific order.

An honest calculation checklist before ordering

Keep four labels distinct: theoretical eligible base, theoretical capped result, observed checkout benefit, and actually available credits. Only the first two are produced by our tables. The third comes from your real checkout, and the fourth comes from Noon’s account balance after the relevant order conditions. This separation lets you check arithmetic without turning examples into sales or treating a pre-payment acceptance message as proof of delivered value.

CAR40 has no announced end date in the material supplied to us; this is not an indefinite-validity guarantee. Recheck our current country offer and Noon’s checkout before each order. CouponKhaleej is an independent editorial site and may earn commission from eligible uses of its code reported by the programme provider, not from clicks or copies. The tables support informed decisions; they do not establish verified sales, guaranteed savings or permission to spend more than you planned.

Questions and answers

Is this a live cashback calculator?

No. It is a guide with fixed explanatory tables, not a tool connected to Noon or an account.

Why does AED 900 still show AED 50 in the new-customer column?

Ten per cent would be AED 90, but the recorded theoretical new-customer cap is AED 50. Actual eligibility remains a checkout decision.

Can I derive the Saudi eligible base from SAR 20.70?

We do not infer it. The observed amount is not exactly 10% of the SAR 210.49 full cart, and the underlying eligibility basis was not established.

Are the observed figures confirmed cashback payments?

No. They were displayed before payment. No purchase was completed and no credited cashback was observed.
